Towering 72 stories above Toronto's Financial District, First Canadian Place has been Canada's tallest building since 1975. In an effort to reach LEED GOLD standards and to modernize the building, Brookfield Properties and the co-owners completed a 3 year extensive interior and exterior rejuventation of the tower. Leaside Electric consulted and installed the new snow melting systems in all underground ramps. State of the art energy management controls were integrated into the project.

Developer Menkes has released the Sweeny &Co design for the East Bayfront`s new Innovation Centre.

 

Pinnacle International advances plans for 1 Yonge St.

Pinnacle International has submitted plans to the city for a landmark project on the Toronto Star lands at the foot of Yonge St. Conceptual drawings were released in early January but this week architectual impressions of the structure and public realm were released. The plans depict six point towers on the site, with the tallest tower reaching 88 storeys. With plans submitted, the public consultation process begins.
